Edwin Doubleday Fund
for the Promotion of Interest in Non-clinical Aspects of Patient Care in Medical Training

A yearly budget of up to £1000 is being provided to encourage Elective Placements with relevance to the aspects of patient care in which the Fund has a particular interest. These will be awarded to outstanding final year medical students studying at the Faculty of Medicine, Manchester University to enable Placements to be undertaken which would otherwise be impossible through lack of financial resources.
This practical and much needed assistance is being made possible through the generosity of Joseph Alsop Chubb. The Fund hopes to be able to increase the support which it is able to offer in this field.
We now also run the Doubleday/La Roche Bursary which provides assistance for patient focused elective placements for final year medical students at UCH, Royal Free School of Medicine.
Our most recent addition is the Susan Wilkin Bursary at Dundee School of Medicine.
