The Trustees' decision to convert the finite programme originally proposed into an on-going project was supported by Edwin's father and brother running in the London Marathon. The former accepting a wager to run in a Dinner Jacket and in doing so helped to push the total raised to over 20K. Many thanks to all those who so generously supported that bit of madness.

  • RUN TO PARIS: Dr Lucy Derbridge, Leoni Marks, Louise Montrose and Nicola Vamos/Gibson ran an astonishing relay to Paris.

  • A Pilgrimage in Spain: The Trustees received a remarkable offer from a friend of Edwin's family, Tony LaRoche, and a fellow pilgrim John Battye. They walked from Seville to Santiago de Compostela. This with a supporting walk from Gibralta to Seville raised £15,000.
  • November 2001 saw the 3rd Transilluminated Ball at Wythenshawe Hall. It was a sumptuous and raucous evening in true Edwin style. It was a wonderful way to raise funds for such a positive project.
